Northern's 142071 waits at Carlisle, ready to depart at 1028 with 2N20 to Newcastle on 4th August 2012.

Preparations for the replacement of Loughor Viaduct are under way as 150264 and 143609 pass forming 1B96, the 1057 Cardiff Central to Fishguard Harbour on 2nd June 2012.

The prototype class 150s, nos. 001 and 002 now have found a new home with FGW, working between Reading and Basingstoke. This releases class 165/166s for strengthening other services. Here, 150001 leaves Reading forming 2J35, 1309 to Basingstoke on 19th May 2012.

FGW 150101 leads on-hire London Midland 153325 through Coedkernew forming 2C85, 1700 Cardiff Central to Taunton on 20th March 2012.

150102 leaves Newport with 2C69, 0900 Cardiff Central to Plymouth on 27th April 2012.

A colourful combination at Cam & Dursley on 18th February 2012. Former London Midland 150106 is leading FGW's 2O89, 1042 Gloucester to Weymouth with on hire South West Trains 158884 at the rear.

Former London Midland 150108 passes foggy Coedkernew forming 2U12, 0600 Penzance to Cardiff Central on 1st March 2012.

Former London Midland 150108 passes Coedkernew forming 2U10, 0945 Weston super Mare to Cardiff Central on 16th March 2012.

One of two 3-car class 150s operated by FGW, 150121 - comprising cars 52121, 57212 and 57121 - passes Coedkernew forming 2U18, 1307 Taunton to Cardiff Central on 1st March 2012. The two 3 car units have been made up using 57209 and 57212 from 150209 and 150212 which have lost their partners due to write offs. (Car 52209 from the original 150209 derailed and struck a bridge at St. Helens Central station on 11 November 1988. 52212 from 150212 was written off after colliding with a civil engineer's crane at Seamer on 15 September 1987 while forming the 0618 Scarborough to York service.)
