Former Cargo-D Mark 3b FO coaches 11064, 11065, 11071, 11083, 11084 and 11086, previously stored at Barrow Hill, have been moved to Cardiff Canton for attention at Pullman Rail. On 14th April 2012, 47812 (D1916) which is on hire to DCR from Riviera Trains passes Coedkernew with 5Z47, 0918 Burton Wetmore Sidings to Cardiff.

Another VSTP working: 47812 (D1916) and 56312 pass Coedkernew with 6Z56, 1345 Cardiff Tidal to Stockton scrap empties on 14th April 2012.

The smaller operators certainly provide plenty of interest.....if you can catch them! Making a novel and unusual sight, 47812 (D1916), on hire to DCR from Riviera Trains and 56312 pass Coedkernew with the late running BARS/DCR 6Z56, 1345 Cardiff Tidal to Stockton scrap empties on 14th April 2012. Earlier in the day, 47812 had worked into Cardiff with 5Z47, 0918 from Burton Wetmore Sidings conveying six former Cargo-D Mk. 3b coaches to Cardiff Canton.

Riviera Trains 47843 'Vulcan' stabled at Didcot Parkway on 27th October 2012. The loco had been employed on route learning in preparation for a new DCR hauled fly ash train from Didcot Power Station to Calvert. The 'Vulcan' name was originally applied when the loco was new to Cardiff Canton as D1676 (later 47090) in 1965.
